I’m Jeff Zell, a sportscaster currently living and working in Mason City, IA. I appreciate you taking the time to view my Reel & Resume.
As a broadcaster I feel I’m versatile in both anchoring and reporting.
I feel my strength as a reporter is being able to tell a good story and convey energy through my pieces, whether it is excitement or somberness. When it comes to adjusting to new environments, it doesn’t take long for me to get a firm grasp on the sport I cover. I’ve played and covered sports in the south, and now have covered northern “winter sports”, which has broadened my boundaries as a sportscaster. Additionally, I have two years experience as a photographer and I feel confident in my abilities using a camera.
When it comes to anchoring, I take pride in bringing my highlights to life. Whether something simple as wrestling or as fast paced as football, my energy is unparalleled.
I aim to jump markets and to be able to cover professional and/or collegiate teams. I want to get to a market that will strive for excellence and accept nothing less. I want to be a part of a weekly 30-minute sports show. I’m also excited and very open to the idea of a working for an all-sports network.
I hope you enjoy the tape, and I’m open to any critique or feedback.
Sincerely,
Jeff Zell
